MackaHat is a family owned and operated business based in Qld and specializing in school hats. We commenced business in 2002 when my husband & I came up with the idea of a reversible bucket hat with the school colour on the main side, and house/ faction colours on the inside - the Mackahat was born! Since then we have experienced an impressive continual growth. We now have an Australia-wide customer base of over 170 schools, as well as supplying some of biggest school uniform suppliers. We have resisted the temptation to branch into other school uniform items, preferring to focus on exceptional headwear that is stylish, sun-safe, robust and affordable, supplied with personal, friendly service .
Having four school-aged children ourselves, we wanted to come up with a style that children would be keen to wear, rather than the constant battle to get them to wear the school hat. At that time there was a rather boring, limited range of styles available with often prohibitive minimum quantities. We realized that schools would appreciate being able to design their own hat with the help of a friendly, professional supplier, rather than being restricted to the mass-produced styles that were all that was available at the time. The MackaHat reversible bucket hat was born and has revolutionized Australian school hats!
